WE ARE
Welcome to the Brave New Institute, the Brave New Workshop's complete
training center for improvisation and acting. With more than 250 students
weekly, and dozens of outreach and community programs, the Brave New Institute
is one of the leading schools for improvisation on the planet.
The Brave New Institute (BNI) is a non-profit organization that provides
education, outreach and performance opportunities for anyone interested
in improvisational and comedic acting, writing, and directing, or anyone
who wants to use the specific tools of improvisation to improve their
life. All BNI programs are funded by a combination of class fees and contributions.

WHAT
MAKES THE BNI DIFFERENT?
History Since
1958 we’ve been performing and teaching
improvisation and sketch comedy and in our
long history we keep
coming back to the same base principles which
are time tested.
Our
founder, Dudley Riggs, is considered one
of the founders of the performance art form of Improvisation
in the U.S.
Critical
Mass lots of students which gives
you the opportunity to meet others like yourself
or unlike
yourself. This leads to great networking
and a place to meet others with whom you
may perform.
