EVERYDAY IMPROV

Cost $240 for 8 weeks

  • Mondays, beginning November 19, 7:30-9:30pm for eight weeks
  • Thursdays, beginning Decmber 6th, 7:30-9:30pm for eight weeks

 

NEW WEEKEND INTENSIVE!

The Brave New Institute is excited to announce the beginning of the weekend intensive Everyday Improv Classes. This class is designed for those whose schedules do not allow them to commit to an eight week course. The class will cover our 8 week curriculum in two weekends. The class schedule is as follows:

Dates December 8th, 9th and 15th

Dec 8th - 9am-3pm

Dec 9th - 12noon-4pm

Dec 15th - 9am-3pm

PLEASE NOTE: You must attend all three class sessions to get the full 8 week curriculum for Level 1 Everyday Improv.

BNW CLASSIC PERFORMANCE TRACK

Auditions for this class will be held Thursday Evening November 15th at 7:00pm at the BNW Theatre 2605 Hennepin Ave S in Minneapolis. To sign up for this audition please click here.

Class for those accepted in the audition process will be:

  • Thursday, beginning November 29th, 7:30-9:30pm

If this class date/ time does not work for you, you can still audition and if accepted you can begin the next round of classes later this spring.

Soul Prov-Improvising Your Life!

Say YES to yourself and unleash a "Brave New You" in a safe, fun and soul-discovering improv experience that is sure to help you jump-start some creative growth in your personal life.

This class mixes creative writing, movement, personal exercises, group brainstorming and our classic improvisation games to give individuals an integrative approach to personal exploration and growth.

Instructors for this class are Roxanne Sadovsky, founder of Write-a-Life and Nina Potter, a graduate of the Meta Institute's interactive Therapeutic Coaching Program. Both Roxanne and Nina are graduates of the Brave New Institute School of Improvisation. In addition John Haynes, Director of the Brave New Institute will be weaving his years of improv training, performance and instruction into the class helping students connect with their organic creative selves.

The Art of the Laugh Sketch Writing Class

Coming December 1st

The Brave New Institute is excited to announce that BNW Artistic Director Caleb McEwen will teaching The Art of the Laugh Sketch Comedy Class. Caleb brings over 10 years of experience writing sketch comedy. He will be using the BNW book The Art of the Laugh as the text for this class.

PLEASE NOTE: You do not have to have taken any imrov classes to be part of the sketch writing class.
